Job Description

Title: Manager - Procurement Department: Supply Chain Management Direct Supervisor: COO Position Purpose: To improve gross profit margins by effectively managing sourcing, purchasing, and acquiring goods and services for all group companies. Goals: • Maintain average purchase cost of materials for projects below 5% as compared to budget during the FY. • Achieve Stock Turnover ratio below 5% for the FY. • Improve Vendor Feedback Survey and increase the average score by 10% from the survey done in June 2024 for all vendors other than Top Tier OEMs. Responsibilities: • Maintain relationship with existing suppliers and identify, evaluate new suppliers to ensure procurement of high-quality materials and services complying to project specifications and standards. • Develop and implement methods and strategies to reduce procurement costs and manage budgetary constraints effectively. • Plan and forecast material requirements to support production schedules and project timelines. • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliable supply chains and favourable terms. • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best terms, prices, and quality. • Manage the procurement team to achieve departmental and organizational goals. • Oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize excess or obsolete inventory. • Coordinate packing and forwarding logistics, ensure efficient shipment of goods, optimize packaging materials, and liaise with transportation providers for timely delivery. • Participate in professional development activities and networking events to enhance supply chain knowledge and skills Major Challenges: • Critical purchase requestions in short notice due to project requirements. • Unexpected changes in material delivery schedules from vendor side affecting project execution. • Have to deal with diverse shipment requirements to various geographical locations inside and outside INDIA. Authority: • Act Alone o Make purchases and services up to INR 5,000/- o Onboarding new vendors as per company requirements. • Touchbase /Approval with Supervisor o All purchases and services above INR 5,000/- Performance Evaluation Criteria: • Comparison of actual performance to the Goals for this Position. • Fulfilment of the Responsibilities for this Position. Performance Evaluation Schedule: • After Completion of Each Project • Annually Qualification: 1. Minimum 5-year Experience in procurement 2. Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical/Electronics) 3. Must have good skills in MS Excel and other MS office tools, experience in any ERP will be a plus. 4. Good Negotiation, Analytical and Problem-solving Skills. 5. Good Oral Communication Skill in – English, Hindi, and Malayalam 6. Excellent Written Communication Skill in – English Compensation:6-8 Lakhs per Annum Work Schedule: 40+ hours Weekly.
