Position: Purchase Executive Location: Kochi (must be willing to relocate to Kochi) Industry: Spice Industries Only CTC: Up to ₹8L Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies. - Manage daily purchasing activities and supervise staff. - Review and process purchase orders efficiently. - Build and maintain strong vendor relationships. - Negotiate contracts, prices, and timelines with suppliers. - Maintain supplier database, purchase records, and documentation. - Evaluate vendors based on quality, timeliness, and price. - Prepare and present market conditions and merchandise cost reports. - Evaluate and approve conditions for issuing and awarding bids. - Coordinate with inventory control to manage inventory needs. - Assess material availability and predict future availability. - Draft, explain, and implement purchasing and contract management policies. - Resolve grievances with vendors, contractors, and suppliers. - Collaborate with departments to identify equipment, materials, and product needs. - Maintain records of goods ordered and received. - Manage the maintenance of office/manufacturing equipment and machinery. - Ensure all procured items meet required quality standards and specifications. - Prepare cost estimates and manage budgets. - Improve purchasing systems and processes. - Stay current with procurement trends and technology. Qualifications: - Degree in Business Administration or a related field. - 2-3 years of experience as a purchasing manager or similar position. - Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management. - Supervisory and management experience. - Strong research and analytical skills. - Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. - Attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. - Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills. - Strong planning and organizational skills. - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
